Dandelion

 

Description

This piece was inspired by fond memories of my childhood when we would blow dandelion clocks and make wishes as the seeds floated away (perhaps not the happiest moments for my parents garden!) The dandelion dream shallow bowl was created using transparent green and clear Bullseye ™ glass as well as glass powder and stringer. The base layers are fired and the accents are painstakingly created by sifting and using various painterly tools to design the images of the dandelion clock with floating seeds. The seeds are made using a small amount of dichroic glass which shines dramatically under overhead lighting.
